Radhika Sarathkumar is one of Indian cinema and television's most accomplished figures: a leading actor across five language industries, a National Award-winning producer, and the founder of Radaan Mediaworks. Daughter of the legendary actor M. R. Radha, she has carried one of Tamil cinema's great artistic legacies into a media enterprise of her own making.
Cinema
She made her debut in 1978 in Bharathiraja's Kizhakke Pogum Rail and, through the late 1970s and the entire 1980s, was one of the busiest leading ladies in South Indian cinema, working across Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam and Hindi. Celebrated performances include Nyayam Kavali (1981), Dharma Devathai (1986), Neethikku Thandanai (1987) and Keladi Kanmani (1990), in a career spanning more than 400 films across more than four decades.
Television
In 1994 she founded Radaan Mediaworks and went on to produce and headline some of Indian television's most-watched fiction: Chithi, Annamalai, Arasi, Chellamey, Vaani Rani and Chithi 2. Her serials held primetime across Sun TV and the leading southern networks for three decades, making her one of the defining producer-stars of Indian television.
Enterprise
As Chairperson and Managing Director of Radaan Mediaworks India Limited, a publicly listed company, she leads creative direction hands-on: thousands of hours of programming across five languages, feature films, live events and a nine-channel digital network.
